Terrorism is the tactic of demanding the impossible, and demanding it at gunpoint.Terrorism is the process, unfair and violent activities performed by the group of trained people called terrorists. Terrorism has become a big national and international problem all over the world. It is a global issue which has affected almost all nations throughout the world directly or indirectly. It is used to threaten the common public and government. Explaining terrorism is not so easy as it has spread its roots very deeply.
Terrorism is a significant threat to peace and security, prosperity and people. (Ban ki-moon)At present, the gravest problem that Pakistan is facing is terrorism. It has become a headache for federation and a nightmare for the public. Though it is a global issue Pakistan has to bear the brunt of it. Pakistan's involvement in the war of terror has further fuelled the fire. This daunting situation is caused due to several factors. These factors include social injustice, economic disparity, political instability, religious intolerance and also international conspiracies. Terrorist act like suicide bombing become the norm of the day. Terrorists have not spared any place. Bazars, mosques, educational institutes, offices, hotels, no place is safe anymore.
Though terrorism has no accepted definition, yet it can be defined as the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aim or the calculated use of violence or threat of violence against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature.
The relations of Muslims (Submitters) with others are based primarily on peace, mutual respect, and trust. The theme in the Qur'an is peace unless there is oppression or injustice that cannot be resolved by all the peaceful means available. The true religion of Islam forbids the killing of innocent people, irrespective of the cause, religious, political or social beliefs.
The religion of Islam (Submission), advocates freedom, peace and mutual agreement and admonishes aggression. The following verses make it very clear.
“And do not aggress; GOD dislikes the aggressors”. (Quran 5:87)
“You shall not kill any person * for GOD has made life sacred — except in the course of justice.” (Quran17:33)
Injustice is one of the foremost factors that breed terrorism. When grievances of the people are not redressed they resort to violent actions. So, this is the case with Pakistan where timely justice has always been a far cry.
Injustices is a threat to peace and stability.
Illiteracy is the root cause of extremism and terrorism. More than one in five men aged 15 to 24 unable to read or write. Such a high illiteracy rate has made Pakistan vulnerable to terrorism.
One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world. Education is the only solution.
Another reason for terrorism is dissatisfaction. When a person is dissatisfied with the ruler and thinks that his rights are being humiliated, his living of life has not been compensated. He is deprived of rightful inheritance to the office, wrongly imprisoned and property confiscated then he joined some religious parties and then his so-called leaders destroy his public sense of security.
Terrorism will spill over if you don't speak up.
On the other hand, this is the hypocrisy of a society that if you see a person who is a Muslim, he is a terrorist. Islam has nothing to deal with terrorism. In fact "Islam" itself means "Peace". That's what the Qur'an says in the Surah Al-Anfall ch#8 v#60
Cause terror in the heart of anti-social elements.
Those people who are killing people and who are against humanity Qur'an says cause terror in their hearts.
Islam teaches its followers to maintain and promote peace throughout the world. Anyone, be it Muslim or non-Muslim kills an innocent Muslim or non-Muslim kills the entire humanity. However, Islam goes a step further to say that if one saves innocent lives, the whole of humanity is saved
Seeing a man praying to Allah is enough for some people to assume that he is a terrorist.
Thus every Muslim should be a fundamentalist i.e. he should follow the fundamentals of the religion of Islam. He should be terrorist only towards the anti-social elements in order to promote peace in society.
Historic records proved that a large number of terrorist acts in the 20th and 21st century were committed by non-muslims and when we analyze, we can surely say without any doubt that terrorism is not a Muslim monopoly. Islam encouraged peace.
Blaming Islam for terrorism is like blaming christianity for colonialism.
Islam condemns all forms of terrorism. If we want to abolish terrorism, we have to realize what is the cause of terrorism. The expert says that the root cause of terrorism is an injustice. When injustice is done on a group of particular people they tend to retaliate and that is the only cause of terrorism.
What separates us from animals, what separates us from chaos, is our ability to mourn people we've never met.
